Gangnam Style AI Faces Not Matching?

Find the affected role and shot before you replace a photo or spend credits on another generation.

A clear, front-facing portrait can improve the reference, but it cannot guarantee an exact face match. If you uploaded only the Center photo, the other two people are preset neutral adults by design—not failed copies of your face. Upload separate authorized Right and Left portraits when you want to control those roles.

Review your photos

01 · Define the problem

First decide whether the face is actually mismatched

“Faces not matching” can describe several different problems. An unknown side performer is expected when that side slot was left empty. A wrong person in a solo usually points to the uploaded role. A face that changes during the same shot is identity drift, while a face that looks weak from the first frame is a likeness issue.

Preset companionAn empty Right or Left slot uses a neutral adult. This is expected, not a failed face copy.
Wrong roleThe intended person was uploaded to a different Center, Right, or Left slot.
Identity driftThe same person changes between group and solo frames or during motion.

Also check whether a hand, hair, motion blur, or a sharp head turn temporarily covers the face. An occlusion artifact needs a different diagnosis from a role error.

02 · Check the sources

Match one clear portrait to each role you want to control

  • Use one adult per image. The workflow does not split a group selfie into three role references. Upload a separate photo for every person you want to control.
  • Face the camera. Keep the eyes, nose, mouth, jaw, and hairline visible without sunglasses, masks, heavy filters, or hands covering the face.
  • Use useful framing. A clear head-and-shoulders portrait gives the model facial, hair, clothing, and shoulder information. Those details can still vary in the video.
  • Check Center, Right, and Left. Center is required; Right and Left are optional. Do not infer the role from the order people stand in an unrelated photo.

If you are building a trio with specific people, see the complete role and consent workflow in the Gangnam Style AI with friends guide. If you only have one portrait, the one-photo guide explains what the two empty side roles mean.

03 · Compare carefully

Use the timestamp to find the photo that controls the shot

The product uses a fixed 15-second role sequence. Locate the first bad frame, then inspect the upload assigned to that part of the video.

  1. 1
    0–2 seconds: opening group

Confirm all three positions. An unfamiliar side person is expected when that side slot was empty.

  2. 2
    2–4.9 seconds: Center solo

A mismatch here points first to the required Center upload.

  3. 3
    4.9–8.4 seconds: Right solo

Check the Right portrait, or expect the preset adult if Right was left empty.

  4. 4
    8.4–12.3 seconds: Left solo

Check the Left portrait, or expect the preset adult if Left was left empty.

  5. 5
    12.3–15 seconds: Center return

Compare Center with the earlier solo to distinguish a weak source from identity drift later in the sequence.

Every new generation uses credits, including a retry with the same photos. The current 720p run uses 22 credits; check current pricing before starting another attempt.

04 · Know the limit

A clearer source helps, but there is no face-lock guarantee

You can control

Photo clarity, the Center/Right/Left assignment, consent, the selected background, and whether you share the result.

The model can still vary

Likeness, hands, hair, clothing details, and identity continuity across group shots, close-ups, and fast movement.

One observed three-photo run used the Beijing night scene and Seedance 2.0 Standard. It produced a 14.869-second 480p video and followed the fixed Center → Right → Left → Center sequence. That single result confirms the role order in one run; it does not prove that every future face will be equally accurate or that changing a photo will fix a mismatch.

The 480p figure describes that recorded feasibility sample, not the current standard delivery. The current product output is a 15-second, 16:9, 720p MP4. Output resolution does not by itself guarantee better identity accuracy.

How this guide was checked: Product-specific role, timing, credit, and failure details were checked against the upload workflow and documented output evidence on October 27, 2026. Photo-selection advice is general guidance. No retry success rate has been measured.

06 · Decide what to do

Change the source, retry deliberately, or stop

Replace one weak source

Use a closer, unobstructed portrait when the face is small, blurred, filtered, or turned away. Change only that role so the comparison remains useful.

Correct the role

Move the intended person to Center, Right, or Left when the wrong performer appears in a known solo. Do not expect a group selfie to assign the roles automatically.

Retry with a clear reason

Every completed new run uses credits. A different generation may look better or worse, so avoid repeated retries when the source is already clear and the remaining issue is model variation.

Use failure and review rules correctly

Failed or provider-blocked tasks release reserved credits. A selected performer who is completely missing or replaced may be manually reviewed; ordinary likeness variation is not automatically a failure or refund.

Read the exact eligibility and credit rules in the Refund Policy. The exported MP4 already includes reference audio, so a soundtrack issue is separate from face matching and should not be diagnosed by changing identity photos.

07 · FAQ

Gangnam Style AI face questions

Why does my Gangnam Style AI face not look like me?

A source photo may hide useful facial details, or the video model may vary while rebuilding a face across moving close-ups. A sharp, front-facing portrait reduces avoidable ambiguity, but it cannot guarantee an exact or stable match.

Why are the other two people not me?

If you upload only a Center photo, the empty Right and Left positions use preset neutral adults by design. They are not failed copies of your face. Upload separate, authorized portraits when you want to control either side role.

Which photo controls the Center, Right, and Left roles?

Center appears in the first solo and returns at the end. Right appears in the second solo, and Left appears in the third solo. Check the slot that matches the time where the problem appears.

Can the tool split one group selfie into three people?

No. This workflow does not split one group selfie into three role references. Use a separate portrait for every person you want to control; any empty side position uses a preset neutral adult.

Will a sharper photo guarantee a face match?

No. A clearer source can remove problems caused by blur, obstruction, or a poor angle, but AI video can still vary between frames and between separate generations.

Does retrying use more credits?

Yes. Every new generation uses credits, even when you reuse the same photos and settings. The current 720p generation uses 22 credits, so inspect the role and source photo before starting another run.

What happens if generation fails?

Credits are reserved when a generation is submitted. If the task fails or the provider blocks it, the reserved credits are released. A completed video with ordinary AI variation is not automatically treated as a failed task.

When can a face problem qualify for quality review?

A selected performer who is completely missing or replaced may qualify for manual quality review under the Refund Policy. A weaker-than-expected likeness, personal preference, or ordinary frame-to-frame variation does not automatically qualify.

Has this site tested a real three-photo result?

Yes. One observed three-photo run used the Beijing night scene and Seedance 2.0 Standard, producing a 14.869-second 480p video. It confirms the fixed role sequence in that run, not a guaranteed likeness or success rate for future videos.

What should I check before sharing?

Watch the opening group shot, every solo close-up, and the final Center return. Check identity, hands near faces, clothing continuity, and whether every depicted adult agreed to appear and to have the result shared.

Ready to try one deliberate change?

Use one clear Center portrait, add authorized Right or Left portraits only when you want to control those roles, and review every shot before sharing.
